Direction
I believe that having a thorough understanding of the project brief and client is essential at the beginning stages of the project. This includes identifying project goals and functional specifications, researching competitors and target audiences, and determining the appropriate combination of typography, color, composition, motion, and brand assets. To me, this process serves as the foundation for effectively addressing business problems and finding the right direction for an effective design.
Design
After establishing the appropriate mood and tone in the Direction stage, my next step is to connect the various elements and create multiple versions to find the ideal design. My objective is to create an experience that not only highlights the unique characteristics of each project, but is also visually pleasing and user-friendly. To achieve this, I prioritize working closely with clients and users to gather valuable feedback and insights that guide the evolution of the design.
Interaction
I place great importance on motion and interaction in my work as they are critical elements in delivering a satisfying experience to the audience. Even small, subtle motions or micro-interactions can greatly enhance the overall experience. I find it rewarding to see people's positive reactions and their engagement with these interactive elements, and that is why I often dedicate a significant amount of time and effort towards this stage in each project.
Development
For the past 5 years, I have been collaborating with a talented developer who shares my vision to turn my ideas into functional websites. My role as a designer does not end with the design phase, it extends to ensuring that the final product is a perfect match to the design in every aspect, from spacing, composition, typography, to motion, interaction, and functionality across all responsive devices.
